Cherry brooms are soft and flexible. Their thin branches gently massage the skin without damaging it, while stimulating blood circulation and tissue nutrition.
Cherry leaves are rich in phytoncides, which are natural antibiotics, and also contain coumarins and oxycoumarins, which help reduce blood clotting. Therefore, cherry brooms have a gentle healing effect.
The aroma of cherry is especially valuable—subtle, sweet, reminding of cherry syr-up. It creates a pleasant atmosphere in the sauna and enhances the overall feeling of comfort. Cherry leaves can also have a stimulating effect and help restore hor-monal balance.
Cherry brooms are less durable than birch or oak brooms. They are usually used for 2-3 bath procedures. After the first use, some of the leaves may fall off, and the bare branches become stiffer.
Its structure makes it more suitable for steam infusion than for active whipping. Therefore, it is often used in combination with birch or oak brooms.
Broom preparation
It is recommended to first soak the dry broom in warm water for 10–20 minutes, then place it in hot water (70–80 °C) for 5–15 minutes, covering it with a basin so that the leaves become soft and fragrant.
Do not use boiling water.
A fresh broom should be rinsed with warm water.
